PRESCHOOL PROGRAM PARENT HANDBOOK

CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS (CPS) CALENDAR

The program will operate for 40 or 49 weeks (depending on the type of program), Monday through Friday following the Chicago Public Schools calendar. Sample daily schedules (see pages 16-19) are included for your information.

Schools will not be open during the following holidays and times:

Labor Day
Columbus Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Holiday
Winter Vacation (1 or 2 weeks depending on the type of program)
M.L. King's Birthday
Lincoln's Birthday
Presidents Day
C. Pulaski's Birthday
Spring Vacation
Memorial Day
Independence Day

Inservice dates when classes are closed will be provided by the teacher.
